Cookie Policy
Necessary storage keeps the blog secure and remembers your settings. Analytics remains off unless you choose to enable it.
1. How storage works
Cookies are small values stored by your browser. The blog may also use local storage for interface preferences. We divide these technologies into Necessary and Analytics. Marketing is disabled because the blog does not currently deploy marketing tags.
Necessary storage is used without optional consent when required for security, forms, continuity or a preference you request. Analytics storage is used only after you select Accept analytics.
2. Current storage inventory
| Name/provider | Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
rovefold_blog_consent / Rovefold | Necessary | Stores the categories you accepted and the policy revision. | Up to 182 days |
october_session / Rovefold | Necessary | Session continuity, form security and CSRF protection. | Session or configured session lifetime |
XSRF-TOKEN where issued / Rovefold | Necessary | Protects form requests against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
theme, preferredFontSize, tnsApp and t* capability keys / Rovefold | Necessary preference | Remembers an interface choice or browser feature detection used by local UI components. | Until removed by the browser/user |
_ga, _ga_* / Google Analytics | Analytics | Distinguishes pseudonymous browser activity and aggregates content usage after consent. | Commonly up to 2 years; subject to Google and property settings |
Names and durations can change when browsers or providers update their technology. The application’s consent revision forces a new choice when a material category or purpose changes.
3. Google Consent Mode
The blog starts with analytics, advertising and personalisation signals set to denied. In Basic Consent Mode it does not request Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics before Analytics consent. Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and marketing remain denied.
After consent, we send only an allowlisted set of content and form-outcome events. Email addresses, names, contact form text, raw internal-search text, IP addresses and authentication identifiers are prohibited from analytics payloads.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
Accepting and refusing optional analytics require the same level of effort. Use the button below or the permanent footer action on any page. If you withdraw after Google Tag Manager has loaded, the page refreshes into a necessary-only state so no future optional event is sent.
You can also delete cookies and local storage through browser settings. Blocking all necessary cookies may prevent forms or preferences from working correctly.
5. Contact and updates
The controller and rights information are in our Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to support@rovefold.com.
We will update the date and policy revision when this inventory or its purposes materially change.
